Hello and thank you for visiting my website.

I have been passionate about motorbikes all my adult life, from my first moped in 1979 at the tender age of 16, to my current bike, which spans over 44 years, over 60 bikes and hundreds of thousands of miles.

I have been giving guidance on advanced riding since 1999, back then as a Class 1 Police Motorcyclist, when I became involved with BikeSafe, (and which I am still involved with today) and now as an Examiner and trainer, representing RoSPA, the BMF, the Enhanced Rider Scheme and IAM Roadsmart.

Having retired from the Police in December 2016, I decided to put all the skills I'd learnt as a Police motorcyclist and a civilian 'advanced rider' to good use and dedicate more time to sharing my knowledge and experience with other motorcyclists in a relaxed and friendly environment, focusing on what skills you need to make you a smoother, safer and more confident rider. This resulted Ian Speight Advanced Rider Training being established in February 2018.
